- Call to Order – President Rodriguez called the meeting to order at 6:04pm

- General members present: Tabita Rodriguez, Taylor Hampton (IYS)
- Guests: Justin Widenmeyer (volunteer), Pascale Eugenio, Andrei Eugenio
- Treasurer’s Report – $1,807.67. No new transactions.
- Approval of Minutes – Patrick moved to approve the following three sets of minutes as written: 10/06, 10/13, 11/3. 2nd (Minea). No changes.
- Old Business
- Result of DEQ grant application – Sadly, we were not awarded any funding from the grant application. However, the rejection letter did say, “The evaluation committee really appreciated your project representing a community need, even though we weren’t able to fund it during this current cycle”. The letter also encouraged us to apply again next year.
- Board Position still open – 2 at-large positions and the Treasurer positions are all available
- Recap Mayor Westfall & Judge Kersey’s Comments – Several opportunities and partnership ideas were shared with MNA at a previous meeting by Mayor Westfall and Judge Kersey. Police advisory board position available, lights, security cameras on East Main. The City of Klamath Falls offers a $500 reimbursement for businesses or homeowners that install a security system on their building on East Main St.

- Work session – proposed projects for the year
- Taylor – community garden – nutrition hub (March). Art project opening (chalk paint). Kick-off welcoming kids. Isabel – Sustainable Klamath has an existing garden, Cooking Matters classes, cooking classes with ingredient pick-up – lots of fun and used to be done at the Klamath County Fairgrounds. We are encouraged to look up grants through the NRPA (National Recreation and Park Association)
- Volunteering – Third Thursday (if possible), piano project, Midge Festival – marathon, formal dinner (August), raffle off art projects (MNA), Discover Klamath, Downtown Association
- Recycling Day – bins: glass, metal (and appliances), mattresses, paint, e-waste, tires, green waste. Have the City pitch-in, loop the dump/transfer station in. Shouldn’t spend all our funds on this project.

- silent auction (online) – recycling/upcycling
- tourism grant (city or county? Taylor not sure)
- Budget – Kaitlin presented a draft budget to be considered by other members of the board. Voting and work session will happen at the next Board Meeting.
- Renew PO Box – all members of the board voted to approve the use of MNA funds to renew our PO Box for 12 months. Kaitlin will pay the $106 fee tomorrow with the MNA debit card.
