  1. Call to Order – President Rodriguez called the meeting to order at 6:13pm
  2. Roll Call
    • Board members present: President Rodriguez, VP Patrick Sullivan, Secretary/Treasurer Kaitlin Hakanson, At-large Member Minea Kiss (present virtually), Absent: none
    • General members present: Tabita Rodriguez, Maria Duran
    • Guests: Taylor Hampton (IYS)

  3. Old Business
    • Awards for the Reduce, Recycle and Reuse grants from DEQ will be announced Friday, Jan. 8 – Fingers crossed that we receive grant funds.
  1. Announcements – Isabel
    • IYS extends their Summer Food Program for six more months
    • Klamath Falls received Blue Zones status
    • There are two new businesses in the neighborhood – Red Roads lead to Wellness (RRW) & MPH Diesel and Automotive Repair. Both businesses are located on East Main. RRW plans to have an open house on Jan. 16
    • City Schools planning for in-person learning beginning January 11 – Kaitlin brought up that students will be returning under the hybrid model, meaning they will only be on school grounds for part of the week.
    • Federal Parks/National Monuments granting fee-free access on January 18 (MLK, Jr. Day)
    • Shout-out to all the Mills residents that decorated for Christmas
    • Work session planned for January 19 (next board meeting)
  1. Public Comment
    • Police Chief Henslee will be retiring May 1 
    • Motion picture filming is planned to happen in our area this spring and summer. Be on the lookout for casting for extras

  1. Call to Order – President Rodriguez called the meeting to order at 6:03pm
  2. Roll Call
    • Board members present: President Rodriguez, VP Patrick Sullivan, Secretary/Treasurer Kaitlin Hakanson, At-large Member Minea Kiss (present virtually), Absent: none
    • General members present: Tabita Rodriguez, Maria Duran, Ellen O’Donnell
    • Guests: Taylor Hampton (IYS)
  3. Tips for winterizing your home – Isabel
    • Isabel created a list of tips for winterizing your home. The tips will be posted on our website and on our facebook page. Please share them with your neighbors!
  4. Old Business
    • Finalize dates and times to decorate along East Main – Isabel – Patrick and Minea volunteered to help put up decorations on Thursday and Friday. Will meet at 11am at the IYS building.
  1. New Business
    • Annual report to Secretary of State – Isabel – Isabel informed the group that we are coming up on our annual renewal for MNA with the Oregon Secretary of State. The fee is $50. Board members conducted a vote via email on Nov 24 and 25, with unanimous approval for approving the expenditure. Kaitlin will file online and pay the fee online.
    • Domain fee – Isabel – Isabel received a notification that millsaddition.org is up for renewal as well. Kaitlin will check with Jonah Hakanson, who set up hosting for the site, to confirm the need to pay for a renewal.

    • Taylor – Dragonfly Transitions may have volunteers available to help with the projects MNA is working on, including putting up holiday decor. She suggested that we get in touch with them.
